2. Watering
① Special, first-level, and second-level green grass lawns are watered once a day during the summer and autumn growing seasons, and two to three times a week in autumn and winter depending on weather conditions.
② Third-level green grass lawns are watered according to weather conditions, with the principle of not withering due to lack of water.
③ Fourth-level green grass lawns basically rely on natural water.

3. Weeding
Weeding is an important task in the maintenance of green grass lawns. Weeds are more vigorous than planted grasses. They must be removed in time, otherwise they will absorb soil nutrients and inhibit the growth of planted grasses.
(1) Manual weeding
① Generally, a small amount of weeds or weeds on green grass lawns that cannot be treated with herbicides are removed manually.
② Manual weeding is divided into zones, pieces, and plots, and weeding work is completed by designated personnel, quantity, and time.
③ Work should be done in a squatting position. Sitting or bending over to look for weeds is not allowed.
④ Use auxiliary tools to pull out the grass together with the roots. Do not only remove the above-ground part of the weeds.
⑤ The pulled weeds should be placed in the trash can in time and should not be left anywhere.
⑥ Weeding should be completed in order of blocks, pieces, and zones.
(2) Herbicide weeding
① Selective herbicides are used to control the spread of malignant weeds.
② It should be carried out under the guidance of a horticulturist, and the horticulturist or technician should prepare the medicine, and the greening maintenance supervisor should agree to the correct selection of herbicides.
③ When spraying herbicides, the spray gun should be lowered to prevent the spray mist from drifting onto other plants.
④ After spraying herbicides, the spray gun, bucket, machine, etc. should be thoroughly cleaned, and the spray machine should be rinsed with clean water for a few minutes. The rinse water should not be poured into places with plants.
⑤ It is forbidden to use herbicides near flowers, shrubs, and seedlings. It is forbidden to use lethal herbicides on any grassland.
⑥ Keep records after using herbicides.

(3) Quality standards for weed control
① There are no weeds higher than 15 cm on green grass lawns above grade 3, and the number of weeds 15 cm shall not exceed 5 per square meter.
② There are no obvious broadleaf weeds on the entire green grass lawn.
③ There are no flowering weeds on the entire lawn.
