The annual maintenance costs of golf courses are increasing year by year, ranging from 2 million to 5 million yuan on average. How to effectively “increase revenue and reduce costs”? With the country’s control over golf course construction and land use, as an owner, a single golf operation is basically unable to meet the daily expenses of the entire club. Similarly, with the increase in club operating costs (employee wages, goods, social, resource costs, etc.), some clubs will have relatively difficult operations. As a department head of a club, we must change our strategy to reduce expenses to achieve cost control.
First, we need to consider several positioning:
1. The influence of golf in the local and surrounding areas:
(1) A good golf participation atmosphere (large flow of golfers) requires a good environment to support it.
2. On the contrary, if the flow of customers is small, we need to consider the expenditure of various expenses:
Maintenance expenses (turf department)
(1) Personnel control, increase technical training so that employees can take on multiple positions, and temporary workers are contracted to responsible areas.
(2) Fertilizer efficiency control, implement graded maintenance of lawn (non-ball striking area can maintain basic growth).
(3) Increase physical work, reduce pests and diseases, and use medicine according to the growth law and season of pests and diseases.
(4) Reasonably control the height and frequency of mowing (spray growth regulators on the entire lawn).
(5) Water control, reasonably do a good job of electricity consumption (electricity price) in different time periods, do a good job of meteorological analysis and reasonably control water to maintain good growth in the ball striking area.
(6) Strengthen maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, and localize or modify and process some consumable parts.
(7) Strengthen employee management, implement employee hourly salary system, quantify work, time and responsibility, and management personnel are the first to coordinate on site.
(8) Do a good job of daily inspection of warehouse in and out accounts, and do a good job of procurement channel, quality and price supervision to prevent deadlock and eliminate unnecessary expenditure and loss.
