Fertilization of newly built golf course lawns

1. Fertilization of newly built greens

Sandy loam is the most ideal turf bed for the greens. It can also be artificially matched with sieved sand with impurities between 0.25-0.50 mm, which is best to be spread 30-40cm thick. It is recommended to use lawn planting fertilizer as base fertilizer, with an application amount of 3-4 kg/100m2. Before the turf is formed, strengthen topdressing, generally apply nitrogen fertilizer once every 10 days, 10g/m2; apply lawn planting fertilizer every 15 days or so, with an application amount of 20-30g/m2. Finally, the required lawn is achieved.

2. Fertilization of the newly built teeing area

The lawn of the teeing area is easily lifted by the athletes when they swing their arms. Therefore, the soil of the lawn of the teeing area is required to provide all the nutrients needed for lawn recovery in a short time. The soil structure is the same as that of fruits and vegetables. The basic thickness of the sand ridge is about 25cm. Generally, the place where the nutrient is planted on it is fast. Generally, peat is mixed in the topsoil layer to reduce leaching. The amount of peat is 0.5kg/m2. The amount of planting fertilizer and topdressing is the same as that of the green.

3. Fertilization of the newly built fairway

The fairway is the largest area of the golf course. Due to the changing contours of the shape of the golf course, the soil conditions of the fairway also change more. Most of the guest soil is used, that is, 15 cm of medium-mesh sand is first padded, and then 7-10 cm of fine soil and 0.5 kg/m2 of peat are padded to ensure the consistency and permeability of the soil. The lawn planting fertilizer is used for planting fertilizer, and the application amount is 60-70g/m2.

After the lawn emerges, apply nitrogen fertilizer (urea) once every 20 days or so, with an application rate of 10-15g/m2. At the same time, apply Meicun fairway fertilizer, and the substrate is flat.

4. Fertilization of newly built high grass areas

High grass areas are often more complex, and the difference between the planted lawn and other parts of the lawn is greater. To ensure successful planting, the surface soil and the fairway have the same shape, and the soil layer thickness is 1/2 of the fairway. Planting fertilizer and topdressing after emergence are basically the same as or slightly lower than those of the fairway.
